	ECSTATIC Ecstasy- in search of the ecstasy, in search of that moment out of reality, over reality. Turning…is it like praying? Is it like looking for that secret part inside each one of us, that inner self inside oneself? Awakening, that’s what it is. Melting, surrendering. AWAKENING As a dancer of Middle Eastern Dances (coming from Greece) I started being interested in discovering trance- ecstatic dances of the world. My research brought me to South Italy where I became familiar and later passionate about the trance dance of Pizzica Tarantata and its curing power. My travel continued in London where I was trained as a Mevlevi Sufi Dervish at the Study Society of West London. This extremely profound but painful and blissful experience was my inspiration for this video. Turning might be a simple form of dance but the power of it is supreme, it’s like melting away and surrendering to another great power, the power of existence, the power of oneness. Perhaps the world would be a better place if each one of us was enlightened by the light of Love, if each one of us was finally AWAKE. Self-realization might be the way of understanding that we are all made by the same material. Realising that we are all one, I am You and You are also Me –a vehicle of love. I felt the need of saying something to the world, to make a statement…after all, dancing has been and will always be a statement to the world. My vision wouldn’t have been realized without the music composed by Pierpaolo Sicuro, who has been a partner and a witness of this transformation of mine. With his musical skills and sensibility he managed to give life to this video. After a long career in the folk music of South Italy he new exactly what ecstasy is about. Above all he has done the recording and the editing of the video during some long hot nights of August. The filming took place in Lecce, Puglia. I hope while watching it, you will have a moment (or two) of your inner Awakening. Only Breath- RUMI Not Christian or Jew or Muslim, not Hindu Buddhist, sufi, or zen. Not any religion or cultural system. I am not from the East or the West, not out of the ocean or up from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not composed of elements at all. I do not exist, am not an entity in this world or in the next, did not descend from Adam and Eve or any origin story. My place is placeless, a trace of the traceless. Neither body or soul. I belong to the beloved, have seen the two worlds as one and that one call to and know, first, last, outer, inner, only that breath breathing human being

	Body, music and connections in between, nature, earth and existence... dance and meditation... eyes closed, body in movement... A nice and suggestive video piece, that indeed invites to move, and move, and move... in search of re-connection and awakening.
