	Actively choosing to challenge the risk end of the bargain – with this video I upped the ante with the slip’n slide. Providing a task where my goal is to run, slide and hold on to my groceries. The slip’n slide is my runway, traditionally glamorous and associated with fashion; here it is absurd, ridiculous and dangerous. In addition I saw the runway as a shifting destination for change and movement. Similar to an airport, my body is taking off and landing, crashing, rolling and sliding. At times elegantly, at other times, tragically out of control. The scene is an extension of the stage - the frame of the camera is the audience. I am crossing between the everyday ordinary moments and the humor of a heightened character on display. The objects in the video are symbols for the many things we juggle and try to hold on to. The constant attempts and failures, the relentless every-day – the voice that declares “try-try-try again”. The slip‘n slide, the unceasing water, the susceptible dress, the eventually soggy useless paper bag, the numerous slick round oranges all create an impossible scenario.
