	Description:
	This animation is a metaphor for traumatic memories caused by my direct experiences with violence in South Africa. In this artwork I refer to myself as a little girl, travelling through a strange galaxy, which is an allegory for my home country, South Africa. Within this galaxy a series of outlandish hybridized creatures, own to South Africa, travels. These creatures symbolize the power of criminal offenders and mostly appear as innocent and exquisite. However their desirable facades fade away when they devour everything that are in their ways. The little girl(me) travels with these alluring creatures and diplays a sense of constant fear and alertness, similar to what most South Africans experience on daily basis, especially when 50 murders per day is committed.
