	Two Headed Calf As far as what it is about...I was very touched by the poem by the late Laura Gilpin and the musical interpretation of Carol Lipnik. I love the idea of a stolen moment before chaos/negativity ensues. I linked it to my subway ride to work every day where there are moments of unrest, discomfort, ugliness, that are then matched with real lyrical flashes that stick with you throughout the day. It is hard to "live in the moment" in New York, unless you train yourself to see those amazing little snippets. I lived in Washington State for a couple of years and used to go ogle the two headed calf at "The olde Curiosity Shoppe" in Seattle. I see him/them a little different now. Two-Headed Calf: Tomorrow when the farm boys find this freak of nature, they will wrap his body in newspaper and carry him to the museum. But tonight he is alive and in the north field with his mother. It is a perfect summer evening: the moon rising over the orchard, the wind in the grass. And as he stares into the sky, there are twice as many stars as usual. - Laura Gilpin
